Welcoming The Groom- A Ceremony In Itself
In an Indian wedding, bridegroom, his guests and relatives who form the procession called Baraat are given a warm welcome from the Bride’s side. The entire drama as it unfolds is amusing, interesting and sometimes absolutely hilarious! He sits on a white horse with bands playing music and the procession dancing to the beats of dhol. It is a carnival of a sort. All from Groom’s side mention the time of baraat departure.
